Creating a website through Squarespace is fairly straightforward and accessible. While not as easy to use as free website hosting sites like Google Sites, Wix, Weebly, etc. Once the learning curve is mastered,  Squarespace has the flexibility to make adjustments, add or remove pages, and adjust content accordingly. Additionally, as far as web hosting goes, squarespace is fairly economical as far as cost, and for me personally, I find having a little square of the internet where I can have creative control of content and an easy-to-use URL is worth the cost.

Squarespace has options at different price points such as personal, small business, and commerce options depending on the unique needs of each user.

To create a squarespace website, follow these guidelines:

1. Go to squarespace.com

2. Click on Get Started.

3. Choose a website template that suits your aesthetic. This can be changed at any time in settings, if a different theme is desired later.

4. Using the Edit feature in Pages, users can add pages and edit the content of each. With different layout options including Galleries, Contact, Reviews, and even appointment pages, it’s easy to find a page type to suit individual needs.

5. Using the Design option, users can choose fonts, general template options, and even customize Not Found/404 Pages.

6. There are also options for Commerce and Marketing, but will not be discussed here.

7. Analytics allows users to see site traffic to the website for up to a year. It also shows how many unique visitors the site generates, and other information like direct visits, in which users type in the website’s URL vs. visitors who find the website through search engines like google.

8. Settings allows users to add unique contact emails, change site visibility, add extensions, and manage domains and billing.
